8 MESSAGES AT COLOSSAE (2:16-21) They say we must keep the powers that rule the world happy, since they govern our lives and our fate. They say do not handle. Do not taste. Do not touch. Eat nothing that is forbidden. They say we must strive to make ourselves pure, for only then can we call on the angels and expect them to listen. They say that certain times of year are more favorable than others for obtaining God’s favor. They say we need a higher spiritual experience. They say we must fast until we see visions, for only then will we reach spiritual fullness.
