4.  The Health Careers Academy has done this project for a few years.  Last year it was clear to the Finance and Tech Academies that we need to introduce ethics early on to the 10 th graders.  At the same time, due to budget cuts, it became harder to keep the purity to ALL of the academic courses – we are a small school with only 25 high school teachers.

5. We decided to do an ethics project across the entire 10 th grade class. This is the year they start in the academies and it is the last year for the IB program

6.  Students have been known to cheat and plagiarize. By tackling the issue at the beginning- before it happens we thought would be a step in the right direction.  It is also more than just cheating. It is learning you are part of a trusted community.

7. HOW DO ETHICS AFFECT THE CHOICES WE MAKE? The decisions we make affect our lives and those around us. Critical thinking is important in making informed choices.
