3. Pre-operation Safety Before operating, check the saw over making sure that the fence is operating properly and it is square to the blade.

12. Final Safety Points Always wear safety glasses or shield. Stock should be surfaced and at least one edge jointed before being cut. Do not let scrap accumulate around the saw blade. Use a push stick to remove. Always keep your eyes on your work, do not be distracted.
