2. Always wear personal protective equipment like safety glasses, or dust masks when operating the table saw. This applies if you are in close proximity to the saw, or you are assisting the operator with a large piece of stock.

3. Always check the blade for flaws (report if there is damage, warping or missing teeth) before operating the saw.

4. Never reach over the blade under any circumstances. Shut off the machine, and wait for all movement to stop before removing material.

5. Always use a push-stick when the fence is set to less than ten inches from the saw blade. Do not back out partially sawed material, always continue your cut by pushing the work piece past the blade with a push-stick.

6. Always ask for assistance when working with large work pieces.

7. Always Wear a dust mask when cutting pressure treated wood on the table saw

8. Make sure to always stand clear of a possible kick back when operating the table saw. Always stand to the right of the saw cut, and always keep your hands clear of blade path.

9. When working with a partner always ensure you have clear communication. The second person should always stand behind and to the left of the blade.

10. Always use the machine fence when making a rip cut, and the mitre gauge to make cross cuts. Keep the work against the fence throughout the operation. Never attempt to make a cut free hand.
