2. Annotating Fairy Tales: 45 minutes Handwrite annotations ON EVERY PAGE for the following: 1.Green Words (GREEN highlighter) -abstract/connotative/value driven words [love, greed, faith, etc.] 2. Archetypes (characters/journeys/setting/color/theme/etc.) -Use archetype packet to assist -underline archetypes found in tale -LABEL archetype in the margin. DO NOT HIGHLIGHT. 3. PROOF (evidence) supporting identification/analysis of archetypes found in fairy tale. (PINK highlighter) 4. Analysis (YELLOW highlighter) in MARGINS: -what do these Green Words reveal about story/characters? -brief analysis of impact archetypes have on tale

Group Discussion of Fairy Tales: 20 minutes Even if every group member has not finished, discuss fairy tale as a group and fill out the graphic organizer for (1) summary and (2) archetypes. *What you do not finish is homework and due Monday in class. We will be working in the computer lab on Monday and Wednesday of next week so please come prepared.
