8 th to 9 th Grade Planning Timeline March 2 nd –March 20 th : Students met with school counselors in small groups to discuss diploma options, regents courses, and credit requirements March 5 th –March 17 th : 8 th grade teachers made course recommendations for all students March 24 th -March 25 th : Counselors will push into Social Studies classes to assist students in making elective course selections March 25 th –March 31 st : Counselors will enter course requests into school tool database April 1 st : Individual course request summary and Pre AP letters will be mailed to parents/guardians for review April 13 th : Signed Pre AP letters are due back to the middle school counselors to finalize course selections

CORE Course Breakdown ELA: (English Language Arts) *English 9 R, English Pre AP, English R & AIS (Teaching Assistant (TA) and Consultant Teacher options) Reading Lab REGENTS EXAM: Grade 11 Math: *Algebra 1, Algebra 1A, Algebra 1A with Lab, Honors Geometry(TA, and Co Teach options) REGENTS EXAM: Grade 8, 9, and/or 10, dependent on each student’s schedule/course load
