It’s a girl! Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and her parents names were Kate and Arther Keller.

Young life She caught a high fever and lost the ability to see and hear after the illness. Her teacher, Anne Sullivan, taught her to read and write Braille.
