2. AIM Our aim is to find out which hair ties stretcher by flinging them with a sling-shot.

3. PREDICTION The used hair ties are longer, so there is more time for friction to slow it down and it will drop faster.

4. METHOD Step 1: Make a sling-shot out of the sticks. Step 2: cut the extra hair tie and tie it at the top of the sling-shot. Step 3: Put the 15cm ruler at the joint of the sling-shot.

5. METHOD CONTINUED Step 4: Get 1 of the hair ties and pull it back around the cut hair tie to the 15cm mark and let go. Step 5: Measure how far the hair tie went with the 1 metre long rope and record the measurement.

6. RESULTS Used cotton hair tie – 5.350metres New cotton hair tie – 3.57metres Stretched hair tie – 2.200metres New hair tie – 2.530 The used cotton hair tie WON!

7. CONCLUSION In conclusion the used cotton hair tie went the longest distance and came 1 st with the unused cotton hair tie coming 2 nd.
