15 Provisional Itinerary (based on Fri 20 th July to Thu 9 th August):  Friday 20 th July – overnight flight to Nairobi with Virgin Atlantic  Saturday 21 st – spend the day in Nairobi  Sunday 22 nd – travel to Kitale  Monday 23 rd – introduction to schools, staff and children  Tuesday 24 th - Friday 27 th – building work and teaching in schools  Saturday 28 th and Sunday 29 th – relax/day trips etc  Monday 30 th – Fri 3 rd – more building and teaching  Saturday 4 th and Sunday 5 th – relax/day trips etc  Monday 6 th – Say our farewells to the schools and travel to Nakuru  Tuesday 7 th – Day safari in Lake Nakuru National Park  Wednesday 8 th – Travel to Nairobi  Thursday 9 th (morning) – Fly home

27 Practicalities  Cost – approx. £1850 to include flight, travel to Heathrow, internal travel, food, visa, safari, accommodation and insurance. Can be done in instalments. Vaccinations and malaria pills are extra!  £300 sponsorship  Team building weekend (included in cost) – 29 th June to 1 st July

28 Vaccinations and Health  See your doctor first!  Usually advised: –Diphtheria, tetanus, typhoid, polio, hepatitis A, yellow fever, malaria pills  Sometimes advised: –Meningococcal meningitis, hepatitis B, rabies, tuberculosis, cholera  Diet?

29 What to do next  Confirm your decision by returning the application form  Wait for me to get back to you  Start saving!!  Money – deposit of £250 to be paid by the end of September, then £500 by November 30 th, £500 by Feb 28 th 2012 and the £600 remainder by May 31 st 2012
