2. Kings and Queens Letter Each “seating” (A day on the 15th, B Day on the 16 th ) will have a KING and QUEEN of GAMMA for the Faire. If you are interested in being the King or Queen, your parent must sign this letter. Return it to me by Tuesday of next week so your name goes into the “drawing” for King/Queen.

4. The Mask a quiz grade. Construction: 15pts – *At least partially homemade*It is in working order Creativity and Connections35pts – Creativity: *Additional Embellishments *Colorful – Connections: *It has specific connections to Twelfth Night – *It is “readable” [integrate some of the terms we have learned so far this year into your connections with Twelfth Night, into your mask. For example, you could use symbols, irony, conflict, allusion, etc. ] I should be able to “read” your mask and find the “layers” just like we read and analyzed the “layers” in Shakespeare.

5. Next 2 Weeks a preview. We will learn: *malapropism and go over Act IV and V You will: *create a skit using vocab. words with your performance group. *write an essay *take a practice SHAKESPEARE test *practice your scene with your group

6. FCAT-esque QUIZ 1. Take the quiz and turn in to the front of the room. 2. Pick up your portfolio and I will give you the essay. 3. Read all of your feedback and log it in to your portfolio: DTW 2 (district timed writes). I highlighted what you needed to do to get a 6, and underlined what you DID do. 4. Start memorizing lines until everyone is done with the quiz. 4. I will go over the essays.

7. FCAT QUIZ You need a piece of paper. # 1-15… when you take it, circle the #s that you are “unsure” about Get excited about reading passages concerning trombones and frozen dinners.

8. Scene Practice Go through your scene and count your lines. There are 11 school nights before you perform… (# of lines DIVIDED by 11) – MAKE A PLAN; decide how many lines per night you need to memorize so you are ready. DECIDE who is what; and who is doing which technical role.
