1 RABBET JOINT The Rabbet Joint is: an L-shaped cut along the end or edge of a board. a wood joint that can be built with hand or power tools. formed by fitting the end or edge of one piece into a rabbet cut at the end or edge of another piece. commonly used in the construction of drawers, cases, and cabinet frames.

2 TOOLS NEEDED You will need the following items to make a Rabbet Joint. Of course do not forget your eye protection. Check mitre gauge with a try square.

3 RABBET JOINT LAYOUT Marking the width of the rabbet. The finished rabbet joint. Please note that the cut should be made so the joint is hidden from the front.

4 RABBET JOINT LAYOUT Measure the thickness of your wood with a ruler, and draw a line half that measurement. With machine locked out. Put your piece of wood beside the blade so you can set the blade height.
