Our Stated Goal The Relay For Life of Concord goal in 2010 is to raise $56,000 (with ACS net goal of $52,000) through 37 teams fundraising with a total of 300 participants and 80 survivors. 4

Let’s Maintain All-Star Status Qualify by completing Deadlines 1 and 2 50% of the RFL Committee are active ACS CAN members At least a 10% increase of registered survivors (80 survivors) Net gain of at least 5 teams over last year’s count (47 teams) Retain 70% of last year’s teams At least 30% of teams with at least one survivor Net Income Goal reached or exceeded (Our goal: $56,000) All website customization completed Team Captains must be contacted at least one month post-event using on-line Convio Email Campaign 5

What Do These Numbers Mean? February – 25 Teams, $200 per team THANK YOU, KING ARTHUR’S COURT!! March - 30 Teams, $500 per team April – 40 Teams, $425 per team May – 47 Teams, $320 per team June – 47 Teams, $110 per team July – All leftover funds If each team is 6 people, the number is about $20/week per team member!! This IS DOABLE!! 7

Some Facts Concord proper has lots of small businesses and schools (in addition to government offices). – Rely on personal fundraising, not corporate largess. – Engage the local schools and colleges. Our geographical reach contains lots of small communities. – Opportunities for diverse fundraising. – Engage outer communities more. More philanthropic needs in communities – Emphasize ACS’s and Relay’s message in all interactions. – Share the personal stories. 8

Do You Have a Facebook Page? Recruit team members from your local network Talk about your activities Advertise upcoming team events Post pictures from past events 12 Facebook is a free-access social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Users create their personal profiles and create a network of friends through personal connections. Users can also join virtual networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. Organizations and individual users alike, can create groups, fan pages, and various applications to fundraise, spread the word, and generate support for a variety of causes/events/activities.

Do You Tweet? Recruit team members from your local network Talk about your activities Invite friends to join your event real time Keep the buzz alive!! 14 Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers). Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications.
