About the Grant… Approximately $3 million over 5 years Hispanic Serving Institution Collaborative Title V Grant focuses on assisting students in the pipeline to the CSUF credential programs. Project organization: 3 types of activities Those that were almost entirely collaborative efforts. Those that were almost entirely institutional specific. Those that had regional/statewide impact. At the community college, students focus on completing GE requirements and preparing in their subject matter knowledge. At CSUF, students focus on completing the degree, establishing subject matter competency, and entering the credential program. Milestones Along the Path

Key Accomplishments State approved AA Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and (in Progress) Special Education Extensive Curriculum Development including 8 new courses, enhanced General Education courses and STEP Established Faculty Senate Educational Planning Advisory Committee (EPAC) Continuing Challenges On-going funding; Institutionalization of teacher preparation program Fullerton College

5 Cal State Fullerton Key Accomplishments Established RTEC (Regional Teacher Education Council) with partner Community Colleges Implemented STEP (Streamlined Teacher Education Program) for Community College and native students Articulation agreements Continuing Challenges Communication- Keeping everyone updated Articulation agreements (including the LDTP)
