Institut für Umweltphysik (iup) AMFIC related activities since kick-off Detailed studies focussing on China (see following slides; ongoing activity) Extraction & delivery of CO at AMFIC validation sites DRAGON rice monitoring sub-project (Dr Thuy Le Toan) informed about availability of AMFIC methane Meeting with Kostas Kourtidis to discuss data sets incl. web display aspects Meeting with Dr Li, State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA), Beijing, beginning of April in China SEPA is responsible for entire China Meeting focus: Exchange of general information on satellite data & retrieval SEPA is interested in establishing a Remote Sensing group (own retrievals) and using satellite data for AQ monitoring and improving emission data bases (NO2, CO,...) Methane paper submitted describing the 2003-2005 AMFIC methane data set: Schneising et al., ACPD (in press), 2008
