MIKOŁAJ Kopernik -Stopped the Sun and moved the Earth. He is one of the greatest astronomers in the history of the world. He proved that the Earth and planets revolve around a stationary Sun. At age 18, he enrolled at the Faculty of Liberal Arts at the Academy of Krakow, which was known as a center of study in mathematics, astronomy and the humanities.

Maria Skłodowska – Curie - Polish Nobel laureate She has built a device for measuring radioactivity and her husband discovered two radioactive elements - polonium and radium. For this achievement, in 1903 received the Nobel Prize in physics.

Adam Mickiewicz He is considered one of the greatest Polish poets of the Romantic period. Mickiewicz In 1833 he went to Paris, where he married Celina Szymanowska, with whom he had six children.

Lech Wałęsa Polish politician and trade unionist. Co-founder and first chairman of the "Solidarity" dissident during the communist era. President of the Polish Republic in 1990- 1995. One of the 100 most important people of the century in 1999 and Time magazine Person of the Year in 1981, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983.
