CASE EXAMPLE : BENELUX AFRO CENTRE, DRC (PHASI) Active since 2013 Network of 15 collectors has been established for the collection of e- waste, in Kinshasa and Matadi 5 tonne e-waste collected; first shipment of complex fractions for end-processing at Umicore is pending final export approval Sensitisation campaigns (radio, TV) have been launched to raise awareness with the general public Strong working relationship and gov’t approval for activities in the sector of WEEE
