The CCT Tool (What it does - cont.) If a VOL news server exists, a message will be displayed telling customer they can subscribe to newsgroups at news.knology.net (will not set automatically) If a VOL news server exists, a message will be displayed telling customer they can subscribe to newsgroups at news.knology.net (will not set automatically) Emails will be forwarded from old Verizon account to new Knology account starting at close date. Email to Customer Verizon Online, an americast ® affiliate company, has worked with Knology to simplify the process of switching your E-mail, webspace, and portal service to the Knology systems. You will be required to convert to a Knology email address (username@knology.net) by the simple process outlined below. Once you have completed the migration steps, please start notifiying your friends and family of your new Knology.net address so that they may start using it. As an added convenience, your Verizon E-mail will be forwarded to your new Knology account until February 1, 2004. username@knology.net If you only access your email via webmail, or if you should encounter any problems, please call our Customer Service Center at 866.745.3685 (press Option 3) and ask for an Internet specialist for assistance. Customer FAQ’s Q:If I want to input my email account manually, what settings should I use? A:Incoming Mail (POP3): pop3.knology.net Outgoing Mail (SMTP): smtp.knology.net Q:How do I access knology newsgroups? A:news.knology.net Q:Can I keep my VOL email account? A: No, customers have to make the change by the end of February. Email sent to VOL accounts will be forwarded for 60 days. Q:Can I still access my VOL webmail after my email account is migrated? A:Yes, but it would be a good idea to tell everyone about your new Knology email address before the VOL service is discontinued
