Temperate Deciduous Forest By: Aidan Lanza and Sam Gamble

Definition Type of forest characterized by trees that seasonally shed their leaves this include forests which produce nuts and winged seeds, maple, beech and oak.

Location Deciduous forests can be found in the eastern half of North America, and the middle of Europe.

Average Temp / Yearly Precip. There is four seasons and summers average at a temperature of 70 degrees in the winter it averages a little below freezing and spring and fall are somewhere in between. In the summer there’s an average of about 18 inches of rain in the winter there’s an average of 14 inches of rain. Over all per year there’s an average of 29.5 inches to 59 inches of precipitation.

Vegetation / Animals Broadleaf trees (oaks, maples, beeches), shrubs, perennial herbs, and mosses. American Bald Eagle, American Black Bear, Coyote, Duckbill Platypus, Eastern Chipmunk, European Red Squirrel, Fat Dormouse, Least Weasel, and White-tailed Deer.

What Makes It Unique It has different seasons, varying temperatures, varying precipitation, and climate due to the different seasons.
