Evidence of Effectiveness * Effect size was calculated using the initial and final oral reading fluency scores divided by the pooled standard deviation. Effect sizes of.2 are considered small,.5 are regarded as moderate, and.8 are regarded as large (Cohen, 1988). National Impact of Voyager Passport 3-Year Cohort On average, students moved 1.5 standard deviations (so the average posttest score was at the 93rd percentile of the pretest score) This growth is educationally meaningful and generally quite large.

Evidence of Effectiveness * Effect sizes shown are based on Initial and Final score means. Effect sizes are calculated by dividing the difference between Initial and Final means by the pooled standard deviation of the Initial and Final Assessments. Generally, an effect size of.2 is small,.5 is moderate, and.8 is large.. On average, students moved a full standard deviation (the average posttest score was at the 84 th percentile of pretest scores). Effect sizes are large. Investing in curriculum is an investment of both funding and time. To ensure the effectiveness of an implementation, it is essential to create a universal plan for all schools and teachers to follow before the beginning of the implementation. Once a plan is developed, it is also imperative that the appropriate accountability measures and support are in place to track an implementation. Research shows that the quality of the implementation has a substantial impact on student results. Fidelity of Implementation Ensuring a Positive Return on Investment (ROI)
