Additional Concerns Scientific writing avoids pronouns (he, she, they, etc.) and contractions (It’s, Can’t, Wouldn’t). Fix the statement below. Seasons are caused by the tilt of the Earth. If it is tilted toward it then it’s summer. If it’s tilted away from the sun it doesn’t receive as much sunlight causing a winter season.
