“PREACHER I’M SAVED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS”

AND TO THIS STATEMENT.. I WOULD AGREE! Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Ephes. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

THE IMPORTANCE OF BLOOD IN THE SCRIPTURE THE FIRST RECORDED SACRIFICE INVOLVED BLOOD. Genesis 4:3-5 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. [4] And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: [5] But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

NOAH OFFERED BLOOD SACRIFICE Genesis 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

LAW OF MOSES WAS SEALED WITH BLOOD Hebrews 9:18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. HIGH PRIEST AND MOST HOLY PLACE Hebrews 9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

SACRIFICES OF OLD TESTAMENT LOOKED FORWARD TO CHRISTS’ SACRIFICE Hebrews 9:23-26 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. [24] For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: [25] Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; [26] For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

HOWEVER.. MOST MEAN “WITHOUT ANY NEED FOR BAPTISM”. QUESTION: “BECAUSE JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD SO THAT MAN MIGHT BE SAVED.. DOES THIS NEGATE THE NEED FOR WATER BAPTISM?” NO!

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Ephes. 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Ephes. 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

LETS COMPARE THE TWO: Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

WHEN WE SPEAK OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS.. …WE ARE SPEAKING OF THE SACRIFICIAL DEATH OF OUR LORD! Ephes. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

BAPTISM IS INTO HIS DEATH WHERE THE BLOOD WAS SHED Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

WE NOW SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF PETER’S STATEMENT: 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: IT IS THROUGH BAPTISM THAT WE COME IN CONTACT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS.

TO DENY BAPTISM AS IMPORTANT TO ONE’S SALVATION: IS TO DENY THE.. PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS.

JESUS WAS BAPTIZED IN JORDAN.. HAVE YOU BEEN BAPTIZED?
