2
Why Treasure Hunt? Main Objectives/Needs: Interactive and engaging Build and improve upon preexisting fun fair game (“Hidden Treasure”) Enjoyable and fun for all ages Easy to run- easy to win Quick, fun, and safe
3
Why Not Putt-Putt? Less engaging More kids can play treasure hunt at a time More setup/ turnover time Pirate theme seemed more appealing to kids Treasure hunt builds on a game that is already proven to be successful Overall- a good option, but treasure hunt seemed better
4
Key Requirements Functional: Provide sensor stimulus to open chest Provide access to prizes only after correct sensor stimulus is initiated Allow child to win prize in a short period of time Allow child to interact and engage with system Design: Safety, environmental, situational concerns 3 children must be able to hunt for keys at a time Keys must be able to be held by 90% of kindergarteners 80% of kids must be interested in playing the game solely based on looking at it 95% of kids can win a prize in under two minutes
6
