Unit 6 Project: “ Budget Rationale” Opening Begin section with an Introduction paragraph Introduce readers to the Budget and Rationale section and to the main point about your budget (low costs, efficient, high results, etc., as applicable) Body: Budget table & Rationale paragraph(s) Insert your well-formatted line-item Budget in a table format Itemize all projected costs (so you do not have to pay them yourself) Below your Budget table, insert your commentary that presents your rationale (defense) for some of the larger or more “questionable” expenses The Budget table is *not* considered a visual, so do not consider it one of the required visuals for your Proposal (see Unit 8 for more about visuals) Ending A Conclusion paragraph Briefly restate your main points from this section regarding the reasonableness of your cost projections Tone Confident Persuasive
