Overview The website you will create is public www.oninjuryresources.ca/lradgs

Overview Editing and adding content to the site can be done by those with user ID’s and passwords www.oninjuryresources.ca/lradgs/login

Main Functions Add New Content Add a title Add a category (menu) Add content Edit Existing Content Edit the title Edit the category (menu) Edit content

Getting Started: Click ‘Edit’ (green button top right)

To Add/Edit Decide if you are adding new content or modifying something that has already been added Important note: if you are editing, you must be on that page before clicking edit. If you are adding, you can click edit anytime.

Adding a new page Choose ‘publish a new entry’ Need to add TITLE, CATEGORY, CONTENT

Title Type in the title of the page

Choose Category Select the category from the drop-down list This will determine where the page is located on the site (purple menu items)

Add Content Type content into the ‘body’ section

Add Content Many options when adding content Similar to word processing program

Link to a website Step 1: Highlight text Step 2: Choose link

Link to a website Step 3: Enter URL for site you’d like to link to Step 4: Click OK

Link to a document or picture Step 1: Highlight text Step 2: Click ‘link’ or ‘picture’

Link to a document or picture Step 3: Choose browse server Step 4: Choose upload file for a new document (top right corner) Can also choose a file that has already been uploaded (will appear in list)

Link to a document or picture Step 5: Click choose file (looks slightly different on a PC) Step 6: Choose document Step 7: Click choose and upload file (bottom right)

Copy & Paste You can copy and paste sections of text from a document Need to use keyboard shortcuts (CTRL + C/V) Choose paste and then paste text into the text box that pops up, and click ok Paste, paste as plain text, paste from word

Troubleshooting Uploading files 1. Try updating your browser (e.g., firefox, internet explorer) to the most up-to-date version 2. Try using Google Chrome when you’d like to upload the file 3. Contact your IT department and ask them if there are security settings that would prevent you being able to upload your files 4. Contact Stacie (now or any time!)
