B: A tells me that he hates pizza A: I don’t like comedies B: A says that she doesn’t like comedies A: My father can swim very fast B: A says that his father can swim very fast. tells me If the reporting verb is in the past the sentence is in the past tense. (when you have two verbs only change the first one A: I hate pizza B: A told me that he hated pizza A: I don’t like comedies B: A said that he didn’t like comedies. A: My father can swim very fast. B: A said that his father could swim very fast told me
