3 Part Ⅰ Speech Sounds 前元音 (Front Vowels) (I) (I) /i:/ /i/ /i:/ 发音方法 : 发 /i:/ 时, 前舌抬高, 舌端抵下齿, 双唇扁平, 牙床几乎全合, 喉头 肌肉紧张。与汉语中的 “ 一 ” 发音不同, 肌肉更紧张, 音更长。 1. 11 Part Ⅰ Speech Sounds 前元音 (Front Vowels) (I) Part Ⅱ Part Ⅲ Part Ⅳ Part Ⅰ 在英语中, 发 /i/ 音的有字母 a, i, e 和 y, 字母组合有 ay(ai), ui,ei(ey) 等, 但它们各 自都有其它的发音。在大多数多音节单词中, /i/ 是在弱读音节中。很多学习者容易 把 /i/ 发成是 /i:/ 音的缩短, 这是不正确的。 ai(ay):mountain, Monday ui: build, biscuit ( 这里字母 u 不发音 ) ei(ey): monkey, valley, foreign i: did, hit, is, exhibition, profit e: pretty, homeless a: village, private u: minute, business y: city, busy, study /i/ 发音归类 :

12 Part Ⅱ Clear Speech Part Ⅱ Part Ⅲ Part Ⅳ Part Ⅰ 音节是由一个或几个音素组成的语言单位, 其中包含一个比较响亮的中心, 这个中心就是元音。音节一般是以元音来划分的, 一个元音就是一个音节。但是 也有一些辅音因为发音响亮, 也可自成音节, 如 : listen /`lisn/, present /`preznt/, little/`litl/ 。 由于音节的划分很复杂, 英国和美国有不同的划分方法, 不同的字典也有不 同的划分方法。因此, 本书只要求学生了解音节的构成就可以了。在书写的过程 中, 尽量把一个单词写在一行内, 请注意不要将一个音节中的辅音与元音分开, 如 :eight, 不可以划分为 ei·ght, 因为 ght 中不含元音或响音, 不能成为一个音节。 像 learning 这样带后缀的单词可划分为 learn·ing, 而不能划分为 lear·ning 。 音节 (Syllables)
