7. Look at the basic shapes and draw the outline lightly! Where should the objects be on the page?

Block colour- all one colour Background- the layer behind the top Wash- use watery paint to make light tones Success Criteria Fill all spaces with colour – choose the lightest colour of that area Only use light tones – watery paint Don’t add any detail or dark tones Use a big brush and work quickly Extension: Start to build up the tone, slowly getting darker- look for shadows or darker areas

9. Plenary  Take a look at the persons work next to you.  What is their next step?  Are they using the right colours, lines, mark making?
