Marketing & Membership The purpose of this subcommittee is to build a broad and diverse representation from the workforce. Areas that are represented on our council include: Hospitality * Financial Institutions * Medical Communications Retail Military Secondary Institutions * Restaurants IT companies* Private Contractors * * represents members on BAC council

Job Shadowing To recruit businesses to offer field trips for career exploration in a workplace environment. Field trips have included: Florida HospitalSanford Chamber of Commerce Universal StudiosGeneral Works Symantec CorporationAAA at&tNational Center for Simulation Seminole County Public SchoolSCPS Lockhead Martin, PEO Stri, NavAir Florida Business Interiors Convergys (contact C. Alper 407-320-5749 if you can offer a field trip to your location.)

Internships To create internship opportunities for rising seniors. Internship Requirements: The positions must be paid- $8 + Offer a minimum of 150 hours in order to receive full credit Offer the position during the summer session Student must be supervised If you are interested in working with an intern, please contact C. Scholarship To award at least four- $500 scholarships As of 2011, the BAC has: Awarded a total of $21,500 in scholarships Established a Scholarship Endowment --$25,000

Curriculum The curriculum subcommittee supports our students and faculty by: Providing guest speakers for Teach In Day Providing teachers job shadowing opportunities Supporting TechFest events Supporting the senior portfolios project and conducting senior exit interviews Providing grade level career related programs
