Color Wheel Is there is difference between the color wheel for paint and the colors in the light spectrum?
2
In paint pigments, pure Yellow, pure Red and pure Blue are theoretically the only colors that can't be created by mixing any other colors – Primary Colors.
3
SECONDARY COLORS - When you mix any 2 of the Pure colors, you get: YELLOW + RED = ORANGE RED + BLUE = PURPLE BLUE + YELLOW = GREEN
4
In order to get the tertiary colors you need to mix the secondary colors.. YELLOW + ORANGE = YELLOW-ORANGE RED + ORANGE = RED-ORANGE RED + PURPLE = RED-PURPLE BLUE + PURPLE = BLUE-PURPLE BLUE + GREEN = BLUE-GREEN YELLOW + GREEN = YELLOW-GREEN

Neutrals - Neutral colors Neutral colors or earth tones are not seen on most color wheels. Black, gray, whites are neutral. Browns, beiges and tans are sometimes neutral too. Neutral colors can be made by mixing: black and white complementary colors all three primaries together (plus some black or white)
