Short Crop Principles Planting from Feb. through June in 11-12 cm pots. Sub irrigation preferred for diseases control. Spacing and good air circulation for healthy crop. Pinching should be done at young plants stage only. If pinched at a later stage the plants might loose induced shoots and show less or no flowers. Timing: From planting well established plug to 1 st flower: 8 weeks in March – April 6 weeks in June plantings. You can plant lavender for sales all summer
5
Traditional Crop Principles Applicable to all varieties. Planting in late Summer – early Autumn. Establish the root ball under warm conditions. Over winter in a frost free house, keeping the plants on the dry side. Increase watering and feeding gradually as the days elongate and temp. rises in Spring. Sell the flowering plants in late Spring – early Summer.
