3. Transportation/Propulsion Kite – Large 160 square meter kites are being used to reduce fuel costs for large commercial ships by 20%. These sail kites are steered by a computer system allowing optimal wind power. – A smaller version of this system could be adopted for personal transportation such as skateboards.
