1. What is the Bill of Rights? A formal list of the basic rights of a U.S. citizen

2. How many amendments make up the Bill of Rights? The first ten amendments to the constitution

3. What are the rights covered in the first amendment? Right to worship freely Freedom of speech and press The right to assemble and petition

4. What are amendments 2-10? 2 – The Right bear arms 3 – Quartering Troops in Homes (Citizens have the right to refuse) 4 – Searches and seizures (Officer must have a warrant) 5 – legal rights (5 rights involved with the justice system)

What are amendments 2-10? 6 – Criminal Trial Rights (to provide accused persons with a fair trial) 7 – Civil Trial Rights (Civil cases, or dispute between people or businesses) 8 – Bail and Punishment 9 – Rights Retained by People (rights not mentioned in the Bill of Rights: ex. Right to privacy) 10 – Powers Reserved to the States (ex. States create traffic laws, decide the number of school days in a year, etc.)
