2  Enthusiasm: I have a love of teaching and joy for changing student’s lives  Experience: I have 5 years as a para educator in a number of diverse classrooms, both SpEd and Gen-Ed, and have 1 year substituting experience  Patience and Flexibility: Patience and understanding is balanced with flexibility  Training: Curriculum is guided by student data to insure that the needs of individual students are being met  Volunteering: A strong background in volunteering both on and off campus. 3  Reading is a passion- anything and everything!  I love animals of all kinds, and kids of all ages  Participate in a reenactment group- camping, arts, crafts and more  Extensive and uncontained curiosity about everything- no subject avoided  Love being busy and involved  Patient, kind, interested, willing to learn, willing to listen About Me

4 I believe the purpose of education is to give everyone the tools by which they can live a happy, productive life  Each and every student is capable of success  Each and every student has the right to appropriate supports  Positive reinforcement is a way of life- not an afterthought  Each and every student has the right to a safe learning environment  Clear expectations foster understanding  Consistent routines are imperative Personal Beliefs

5 To prepare each student for success within the grade-level mainstream classroom Plan of action:  Confer with teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in known and in place  Target student learning to encompass the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in core content  Communication with family and staff Personal Goals
