Volume of a Pyramid The volume of a pyramid is one third the product of the area of the base and the height of the pyramid. V=1/3Bh

Examples The Pyramid is an arena in Memphis, Tennessee. The area of the base of the Pyramid is about 300,000 square feet. Its height is 321 ft. What is the volume of the Pyramid?

Examples Find the volume of a regular square pyramid with base edges 12in. Long and height 8in. Find the volume of a regular square pyramid with base edges 40 ft long and slant height 25ft.

Volume of a Cone The volume of a cone is one third the product of the area of the base and the height. V=1/3Bh = 1/3 π r 2 h

Example Find the volume of the oblique cone with diameter 30ft and height 25 ft. Round to the nearest whole number.
