Location Guizhou adjoins Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality to the north, Yunnan Province to the west, Guangxi Province to the south and Hunan Province to the east. Guizhou contains more than 15 minority groups that still exist due the area’s slow modernization. The rural areas of the province still live in a very traditional way with colorful costumes, unique houses and customs that are a refreshing change from the big city. One of the most famous minorities are the Miao with their special costumes, hairstyles and traditions.
