Illness & behavior Disease : pathophysiological recognized problem. Illness: individual perceptions & behavior of being ill. Illness behavior: the behavior of the pt in response to his illness e.g. seeking help Sick Role : Expected/required behavior of ill person e.g. exemptions from some responsibilities.
