LOGIN PAGE Please refer to the following pages for scenarios 1, 2 and 3 Please refer to the ‘Guest User’ User Guide for instructions on how to Login as a Guest User 2. Need to Register 2. COMMON LINKS TOP OF REPORT PORTAL These are the common links available on the Reports Portal. Situated within the header and footer, they are available to all users as they navigate through the reports portal. Header Select for User guides on how to navigate around the system Select to go to the NHS Prescription Services website Select to go to the Reports Portal Home Page Select to log out of the portal Select to go to your account to amend your personal details or change your password

COMMON LINKS BOTTOM OF REPORT PORTAL Footer A new page will open showing the terms & conditions A new page will open providing answers to frequently asked questions A new page will open showing accessibility information A new page will open showing privacy information This will allow you to email NHS Prescription Services with any feedback regarding the report portal

NEED TO REGISTER A Registration form will appear for you to complete. This will need to be completed, then authorised and emailed to NHS Prescription Services by a Senior Officer within your Organisation. NB: A Senior Officer needs to be someone other than yourself Once processed you will be sent a link by email to set your security questions and create your password If you are not yet registered and do not have a password. Select: Download Form

NEED TO REGISTER Users fall under one of 3 sections (PCTs, Hospitals or SHA/Other Public Sector Organisations). Complete the section which refers to you and your organisation. Arrange for the Senior Officer (line manager or above) to authorise your registration by completing the bottom of the form and emailing it to NHS Prescription Services to: nhsbsa.registration@nhs.net We will process your form within 2 working days and send you a link by email for you to complete your registration process *A Senior Officer must be someone other than the person who is being registered

NEED TO REGISTER Click on the link received in your email which will take you to the Account page (below) You will then be directed to the Information Services Portal Home Page 2.Select 3 security questions and enter your answers 1.Enter your password using the specified criteria (hover over the i for details) and confirm your password 3.Select to save your details Your personal details will automatically appear here

WHEN ‘FORGOTTEN PASSWORD’ IS SELECTED 1.Enter email address and select submit The following appears once you have selected the above link on the login page

WHEN ‘FORGOTTEN PASSWORD’ IS SELECTED 2. Enter the answer to one of your security questions and select ‘submit’ If the answer is correct you will receive the following message Select close and go to your email account for the ‘forgot email’ link to reset your password

WHEN ‘FORGOTTEN PASSWORD’ IS SELECTED Once you have selected the link you will be directed to the login page and asked to answer one of your security questions 4.Enter the answer to your security question and select submit 3. Click on the link received in your email

WHEN ‘FORGOTTEN PASSWORD’ IS SELECTED 3.Enter and confirm your new password and select ‘submit’ NB: Ensure your password adheres to the following criteria

UNABLE TO LOGIN 1. ACCOUNT SUSPENDED You will not be able to LOGIN and you need to contact NHS Information Services (Tel: 0191 2035050) to reactivate your account. 2. ACCOUNT LOCKED This can occur when you have had too many ‘failed log in attempts’. You can reactivate your account by selecting the link which appears in the ‘account locked’ message. Answer your security question correctly and you will be sent an email link to change your password to enable you to unlock your account and LOGIN. 4. UNABLE TO LOGIN If you have not logged in for 12 months your access will have expired. You will need to re-register. 3. PASSWORD HAS EXPIRED You will be directed to the ‘change password’ screen where you will enter a new password

UNABLE TO LOGIN Account Locked You are given 3 attempts to Login before your account is locked. You will receive the following message if you have attempted to Login too many times with the incorrect password. Select to unlock your account

PASSWORD EXPIRY Your password is valid for 28 days. For security reasons it must be changed at the end of this period. You will receive warnings for the 3 days running up to the expiry date. The following message (a) will be displayed during these 3 days. You may choose ‘No, I will change it later’ for the first 2 days and must choose ‘Yes, change password’ on the third day. (a) Below is an example of the warning before your password expires (b) Below is an example of the warning once your password has expired (b) Select the link and follow the instructions to change your password (a) When selecting ‘Yes’ follow the instructions to change your password

PASSWORD EXPIRY Change of Password Successful You will then be directed to the Information Services Portal Home Page

LOGOUT You will be logged out of the Information Services Portal and directed back to the LOGIN page. If you do not submit any requests for 30 minutes the system will time out and you will automatically be logged out of the system. If the Information Services Reports Portal is disconnected due to a system failure you will automatically be logged out of the system. Select to exit the Information Services Portal
