About Your Teacher: Also teaches astronomy & runs the planetarium. B.A. in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, M.S. in chemistry from Cleveland State U. Married to Jane for 32 years. Has two sons, David & Matthew. Has been teaching in Lancaster for 18 years; worked in chemical industry for 15 years before that. Lives in Circleville.

Why Take Chemistry?

Stuff You’ll Need ASAP 1. Pencils or pens, paper for notes 2. Scientific Calculator – EE or EXP, log, ln 3. $ fee – pay to Mrs. Gardner

On lab days – no flip-flops or sandals You’ll need safety glasses – “Z-87” on the temple (shatter-resistant)

1. Be here. Every day. 3. Do the HW and lab reports. 2. Take notes. If I write it on the board, you write it into your notes. 5. Study for quizzes & tests. 4. Be organized. 6. Check class website & PB weekly.
