Rules of Divisibility 1 - always a factor. 2 - if the last digit is a 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. 3 - if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3. 4 - if the last two digits are divisible by 4. 5 - if the last digit is a 5 or 0. 6 - if it is divisible by 2 and 3. 7 - no shortcut. 8 - the last three digits are divisible by 8. 9 - the sum of the digits is divisible by 9. 10 - the last digit is a 0.

Find the factors of 24. 1 x 24 = 241 is always a factor. 2 x 12 = 24The last digit is a 4. 3 x 8 = 242 + 4 = 6 and is divisible by 3. 4 x 6 = 24Not a shortcut this time. 5 x ?Not a factor this time. 6 x 4 = 242 and 3 already worked. 7 x ?Not a factor this time. 8 x 3 = 24 9 x ?Not a factor this time. 10 x ?Not a factor this time. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24
