Why Are We Here? We are here to define needs for the LRTP in light of what we have learned up to this point. At this point needs may be FUNDED or UNFUNDED. Funding and prioritization will come later in the process What project are defined as “Needs”

Project Source -- Safety Data MT high crash locations include: –US 93 north & south of Missoula –I-90 east and west of Missoula –US 12 from US 93 to Lolo Pass Ped crashes inside city steady to decreasing, outside city trending up Bike crashes inside city steady but high, outside city steady Motorcycle crashes inside and outside city slowly increasing in context of rapid increases statewide

Next Steps Needs will be costed against available revenue to define the “funding gap” Needed projects will be prioritized for funding using criteria from the public survey & public involvement Those with the highest score will be recommended for funding Recommended “service package” will be reviewed for key environmental issues Recommended service package will be modeled with respect to travel demand and air quality
