HISTORY Globalization is an historical process that began with the first movement of people out of Africa into other parts of the world. Traveling short, then longer distances, migrants, merchants and others have always taken their ideas, customs, and products into new lands. The melding, borrowing, and adaptation of outside influences can be found in many areas of human life.

The term "globalization" was first introduced in the 1980s, but the concept stretches back decades, even centuries, if you count the trading empires built by Spain, Portugal Britain, and Holland. Threats Of Globalization For business owners, threat of facing new and powerful global competitors. Job outsourcing. Poorer or underdeveloped countries get left behind in many ways because they can't afford things like new technologies that North American's can afford. Blending of cultures. (our culture is blend with western culture)
