Introduction Part of the UN global capacity building project on developing interregional transport linkges Granted funding by the UN GA (USD 1,250.000) Jointly implemented by UNECE and UNESCAP over a period 2003-2006 Allocated funds for Euro-Asian project component (USD 400,000)

Objectives Identify important interregional transport linkages between Europe and Asia Strengthen the capacities of national officials to identify impediments to movements of goods and passengers Put in operation efficient Euro-Asian transport linkages

1 st Phase: 2003-2004 Agreement on the project’s strategy Identification of important routes incorporating intermodal concept Inventory of routes and priority projects Selection of major Euro-Asian transport rail and road routes and intermodal points
