MINISTERO DELL'ISTRUZIONE, DELL'UNIVERSITÀ E DELLA RICERCA P ROGETTO NEGOZIALE F.I.R.B. Identification and functional analysis of the gene expression profiles characterizing hormone-responsive breast cancer AIMS: 1. Identification of new panels of molecular markers to better prognostic evaluation of breast cancer lesions, with respect to prediction of the degree of hormone responsiveness and clinical evolution of the disease; 2. Generating a publicly available list of annotations on genes and gene networks relevant to mammary gland and breast cancer biology and to ovarian hormone action; 3. Training in post-genomics and technological dissemination.
