…what is it? Began in the 1920 along side Dadaism as a rebuttal to the war ( WW1) Highly influenced by Freud (dreams are unconscious feelings- true feelings) Still had art quality to them- using art aesthetics- just the composition and the concepts were very “odd”

Salvador Dali Most famous of them all VERY quirky character Once made a video that was 6 hours of a man sleeping. Was on many game shows, and once he was chewing tacks and someone asked him why he would do that, and he would say “ for the sensation when I stopped” Would literally wake up in the middle of the night and “record” his dreams
