6. Dadaism- (French: dadaisme, “dada”- a wood horse, child’s babble) a modern art trend in 1916-1922, which was formed in Switzerland among anarchic intelligentsia. Dadaism protested against the First World War and depicted it with the help of irrationalism, pessimistic antiestetism, peculiar artistic hooliganism- absurd combination of letters and sounds, astrakhans, pseudo drawings, a set of occasional things.

Max Ernst  Date of Birth: April, 2 1891  Family: Max was the second child from six children; father: Philip Ernst, a teacher at deaf school.  Education: Faculty of Philosophy, Bonn University.  Wives: Ernst had 3 wives, but only his last wife supported him in his work.  Date of death: April, 1 1976.
