Assignment for Portfolio DUE SEPT. 9 Find or write a quote about the imagination. Develop a page for Section two of your imagination portfolio using your choice of media. You must write the quote on the page. Have a three-ring binder/notebook with dividers by Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Unit Title: From Ordinary to Extraordinary Essential Questions: What is imagination? How does imagination feed our soul and form our thoughts about identity? Personally or culturally? How do we imagine others live and think and how does this influence what we believe? How much time do we spend using our imaginations?

Daily Journal Writing starting Tuesday, Sept. 2 Everyday for the first five minutes of class I want you to write in your journal/sketchbook. These writings are called morning pages. Not meant to sound smart or even make sense, these writings are intended to drain the brain. Sometimes the pages will be full of whiny, petty, negative stuff about your day or the homework you had the night before. Sometimes they will produce inspirational prose. Basically, anything that is in your head will come out in these pages. Write for five minutes total. You may put these in your portfolio.
