Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920’s & is best known for its visual artworks & writings. Surrealism developed out of the Dada activities during World War I.

Surrealism embodies: Fantastical visual imagery from the subconscious mind. No intention of making the work logically comprehensible. Attracted many members of the Dada movement. Surrealism was deeply influenced by the work of Freud and Jung.
