Finances Proposal to NSF for $40K pending award. $6K from Kofke grant for simulations in education workshop Funds being solicited from Air Liquide, Michelin, Materials Design, and L’Oreal. To be requested: $15K total Funds to be solicited from GLCPC Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering in January 2009 for sponsoring multicore workshop and session. To be requested: $5K Additional exhibitor income sought: $6K Expected funds: $72K. – Sirola’s estimates: Pessimistic case (with 120*): $28K raised. Residual: -$7,050 Best guess (with 130*): $38K raised. Residual: $14,910 Optimistic (with 150*): $51K raised. Residual: $39,840 *Note: anticipated lower participation by industry due to current financial crisis not reflected in these attendance numbers, which will reduce overall registration income. Ok with expected fundraising.
