Within the past 5 years the use of technology has increased in the classroom. Specialty software is very common in teaching many courses. Online textbooks, homework and tests are now very popular within the classroom.

PROS… - Textbooks cost thousands of dollars - Multiply that by 50+ different classes and 30 kids per class - Technology can save money CONS … - More prone to damage and repair costs

Students may not pay attention in class Younger children may not understand how to use the technology If students are given online homework, they may not have the right technology at home to complete it. The school may not receive funding to buy new technology
