2 Navigating www.bioone.org: An Introductory Guide for Librarians Overview Through a cooperative arrangement among the Dutch Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, UKB, SURF, and Knowledge Exchange, BioOne is now available nationwide to all citizens of The Netherlands. BioOne (www.bioone.org) is a unique aggregation of high-impact bioscience research journals, featuring timely content on a wide-array of today’s most pressing topics, including global warming, stem cell research, and ecological and biodiversity conservation.www.bioone.org BioOne includes 160 titles from 123 publishers, with over 500,000 pages of content, growing daily. Nearly half of all titles are available online exclusively through BioOne. 70% of titles are currently ISI ranked, with many considered the leaders in their respective fields.

5 Navigating www.bioone.org: An Introductory Guide for Librarians Seamless Access The Netherlands is granted access on a country-wide level via IP geolocation. All users are granted automatic access to all BioOne content. Institutions can track local usage statistics by registering institutional IP ranges. All users may create a profile (email address as username and a unique password) to access preferences and store e-alerts. Library administrators have a special administrator tab in their profile to manage their institution’s access, brand patrons’ BioOne view, and download usage statistics.
